Pajarito Mountain Trailbuilding
All the trails on Pajarito Mountain have been built by volunteers, and we are continuing to expand the network rapidly. Privately owned land makes trailbuilding much simpler and faster.
All our trails are built according to trailbuilding guidelines developed by IMBA to try to ensure minimum impact, sustainability and low maintenance requirements.
Planned for this year: a new XC trail starting at the Lodge and going up the main beginner hill to link with Midway, which is closed this year for maintenance, and completion of the new downhill race course.
Trailbuilding takes a lot of work of course, and any additional help is always welcome. If you would like to participate then please email the trails coordinator, Gary Parker.
